The hiking trails are a good opportunity for people without a great experience in hiking to explore and experience the scenic beauty surrounding Ilulissat Icefjord. The lengths of the hiking trails has purposely not been made longer since You should be able to find your own way if you prefer to hike further away from Ilulissat City.
The trails by the Icefjord are thoroughly used by local citizens as well as tourists. The ongoing work concerning the construction and the up keeping of the trails has been in effect since 2005. This has caused a lot of positive feedback from the visitors of the Icefjord.
“All three recommended walks (yellow, red and blue) are wonderful and with exceptional views. The landscape and the icebergs are beautiful and bigger than you can imagine! These walks shouldn't be missed at all when you are in Ilulissat! The paths are well marked, so you can't get lost”
